ABSTRACT
This study analyzes the biographical characteristics of Japanese startup executives and their impact on fundraising success. Using data from 1,210 startups founded since 2015, ex-ecutive characteristics were categorized into education, work history, and professional credential. Statistical analysis revealed significant correlations between specific educa-tional backgrounds, international experience, and fundraising amounts. Notably, exec-utives from prestigious domestic universities and those with overseas experience demonstrated significantly higher fundraising success. The findings provide practical evaluation criteria for investors and contribute to understanding success factors in Japan's startup ecosystem.
